On March 19, 2000, Terrance Powell was arrested at his residence, 633 Evans Street Apartment 20, by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for manufacturing silencers. On April 21, 2000, Powell pled guilty and was sentenced to 3 years in prison. On May 5, 2001, Powell was paroled from the United States Prison Camp in Seymour Johnson, North Carolina.

On December 2, 2001, Powell was arrested by the Greenville Police Department for shop lifting. Not knowing that he was on federal parole, Powell was released on a $500 bond. This arrest by the Greenville Police Department violated Powell's parole.

On December 8, 2001, a warrant of arrest was issued for Terrance Powell for parole violation. A check of his residence at 633 Evans Street Apartment 42 showed that Powell had vacated his apartment. His roommate, Greg Thomas, is still living there but Powell's whereabouts are unknown.
